Tom Cruise Bans Meg from Premiere Amid Boycott Uproar

Sussex has been blocked, with Tom Cruise making a last-minute decision to ban Meg from his upcoming premiere following a significant boycott.

and are set to make a grand return to the red carpet alongside Tom Cruise.

The royal couple is scheduled to join the actor for the UK premiere of Top Gun: Maverick on May 19th at London's Leicester Square.

Anticipation is high for the event, with Kate, aged 40, expected to dazzle in full Hollywood glamour, reminiscent of her golden appearance at the James Bond premiere last September.

This won't be the first encounter for William and Kate with the highly awaited film.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were treated to a special screening of the Top Gun sequel by Cruise himself, who had learned of William's admiration for the original 1986 movie.

William, a former Royal Air Force helicopter pilot, and Kate will grace the red carpet next Thursday, where they will be introduced to Cruise, along with other cast members such as Miles Teller, who portrays the son of Cruise's late comrade Goose from the initial movie.

The royal couple will also meet with film studio executives, the movie's director Joe Krasinski, and representatives from the film and TV charity.

The premiere, hosted by Paramount Pictures and the film and TV charity, marks the 72nd royal film performance organized by the charity as it nears its centenary.

Notably, the charity has been a crucial support system for numerous individuals employed behind the scenes in Britain's film and television industry, particularly during the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Cruise's involvement with the royal family extends beyond this premiere event.

He is set to co-host a televised celebration honoring Queen Elizabeth's 70-year reign at the Royal Windsor Horse Show this Sunday.

The event, themed “A Gallop Through History,” will include a special appearance by the Queen's great-grandchildren.

The Hollywood star has a history of interactions with the British royals, having previously met the late in 2017 during a dinner commemorating the 75th anniversary of the Outward Bound Trust at Buckingham Palace.

Additionally, Cruise crossed paths with the late and his ex-wife, actress Nicole Kidman, in 1992 at the Leicester Square Empire Cinema during the premiere of the romantic drama film “Far and Away.”
