The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge Rebrand Social Media Presence
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have made a notable adjustment to their social media presence, revealing a more personal touch.
For the past six years, the royal couple's Instagram handle has been Kensington Royal.
However, this week, they decided to switch it to something closer to heart – Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
This change coincided with the launch of their very own YouTube channel earlier in the day.
Prince William and Kate took to Twitter and Instagram to announce the debut of their new channel through a light-hearted video.
The clip captured the couple, who are parents to three children, engaging in playful banter and sharing laughs.
In a charming moment, the Duke jokingly cautioned his wife at the start of the video, teasing, “You'll have to be careful what you say now, because these guys are filming you.”
Kate responded with a giggle, saying, “I know.”
The video showcased a delightful montage of the Duke and Duchess during various royal engagements, such as their overseas tours, appearances at the BAFTAs, and encounters with esteemed figures like Sir David Attenborough.
It also included a humorous outtake that added a touch of authenticity to the presentation.
Towards the end of the footage, Kate playfully advised her husband, “You don't need to roll your R,” as they recorded a special message in honor of St. Patrick's Day.
While the official royal family channel primarily focuses on documenting the Queen and her family's activities, Kensington Royal's YouTube account will now be dedicated solely to showcasing the endeavors of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
This shift follows the couple's recent sharing of a heartwarming home video featuring their children – Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis – commemorating their 10th wedding anniversary.
