Sienna Elizabeth Mapelli-Mozzi: Princess Beatrice and Edo Welcome Their Baby Girl
Princess Beatrice and her husband Edo have joyfully welcomed their baby daughter, naming her Sienna Elizabeth Mapelli-Mozzi.
Born at 11.42pm on Saturday at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital in London, the little princess weighed a delicate 6lbs 2oz.
This new addition to the royal family marks Princess Beatrice's first child, while Edo is already a proud father to son Wolfie, whom the princess lovingly refers to as her “bonus son.”
The couple took to the royal family's social media pages to share the news of their daughter's arrival, accompanied by a charming photo of the newborn's footprint with her name elegantly scripted below.
Sienna's middle name, Elizabeth, serves as a heartfelt tribute to the monarch, aligning her with her second cousin Princess Charlotte, who also bears it as her middle name.
In the announcement post, Princess Beatrice and Mr. Eduardo Mapelli-Mozzi expressed their gratitude and happiness, sharing, “We are all doing well and Wolfie is the best big brother to Sienna.”
Edo further shared the touching moment on his personal Instagram account, captioning the photo with warm words, “Our life together has just begun, and I can't wait to see all the amazing things that await us.
Feeling so much love and gratitude for my amazing wife, baby Sienna, and Wolfie.
These are the days I never want to forget.”
Despite bookmakers favoring the name Florence, with William Hill offering odds of nine halves, other popular choices included Francesca, Matilda, Arabella, and Giovanna.
As the baby girl holds the 11th position in line to the throne, she will not inherit the title of Her Royal Highness from the Queen.
However, thanks to her father's Italian heritage, Eduardo being an Italian count means that any of his children will also carry the noble title of count or nobile donna.
