Royals in Wales: Prince William and Princess Kate’s Visit to South Wales
Prior to St. David’s Day tomorrow, the Prince and Princess of Wales made their way to South Wales this morning for a series of engagements.
The Princess looked stunning in a houndstooth print skirt paired with a long cream coat as they arrived.
Their first stop was the Brinnewell Rehabilitation Centre near Pontyclun, marking the beginning of their three-part visit in South Wales.
The royal couple engaged with local community groups to learn more about initiatives promoting mental well-being.
Princess Kate paid tribute to Wales by donning an outfit that seemed to draw inspiration from traditional Welsh attire.
Her mid-length black and white houndstooth skirt resembled the classic Kingham skirts worn by Welsh women, reflecting the country’s cultural heritage.
The skirt, sourced from high-end retailer Zara, was a previous season’s piece, no longer available new but can be found on resale websites like Resell Zara for £5.99.
Paired with a custom cream coat by Alexander McQueen and a white turtleneck top, the Princess completed her look with a daffodil pinned to her lapel – a nod to Wales’ national flower.
The Duke sported the cream coat alongside the Princess, while Kate accessorized with black suede knee-high boots and a £675 Mulberry Amberley Croc Effect crossbody bag.
Black leather gloves adorned her hands, adding a touch of elegance to her ensemble.
Fans of the royal couple took to social media to express admiration for Kate’s outfit, with many praising her choice of attire, including a houndstooth skirt that caught the attention of fashion enthusiasts.
During their visit, William and Kate showed support for the launch of therapy gardens and allotments in South Wales, aimed at providing mental health care to local communities.
The first garden, set to be established at the Brynwyl Rehabilitation Centre, will feature various elements such as allotments, a sensory garden, a mud kitchen, and an interactive learning space.
Following this, the royal pair will visit the Aberyfon Leisure and Fitness Centre to explore the benefits of sports and exercise on mental health and well-being.
Their final stop will be at the Wales Air Ambulance headquarters, where they will meet with emergency responders.
Amanda Barry, Chief Executive of the Royal Foundation, commended the couple’s dedication to making a positive impact during their engagements in Wales.
She emphasized their commitment to mental health initiatives and the importance of nature in promoting well-being, highlighting the couple’s efforts to unite local stakeholders and support non-profit organizations in reaching those in need.
As the Prince and Princess of Wales continue their visit to South Wales, their focus on mental health and community support remains at the forefront.
With a busy schedule of engagements aimed at fostering well-being and unity, William and Kate’s presence in the region serves as a reminder of their ongoing dedication to making a difference in the lives of others.
