**Royals Celebrate Birthdays with Heartfelt Traditions**

Have you ever wondered how the Royals really celebrate their birthdays?

It's safe to assume that their celebrations aren't exactly like us.

The Princess of Wales is eager to prepare to turn 42, marking her milestone birthday with her new title.

But did she also celebrate with a cake?

Let's be honest, no birthday is truly complete without blowing out the candles on a cake.

Catherine not only enjoys big birthday celebrations, but her children adore birthday cake.

So, there will be a special party at the palace with candles and presents.

How touching it is that Prince George, , and have made their mother's birthday extra special by a very heartwarming gift.

The Wales family has a long-standing tradition of giving heartfelt and homemade gifts on their birthdays, but there was one year when the future queen received quite an unforgettable gift from her three children.

The highlight of the day was the handmade gift from her young children, which was linked to something close to her heart – a collage made out of their favorite family photographs.

While this has become somewhat of a family tradition, it will be slightly different this year as it contains photos taken by George and Charlotte themselves.

Additionally, the children gave their mother a new children's vegetable patch they had created at Anmer Hall, their residence at that time, and allegedly picked out their own seeds and plans to put it in.

The famous family, surrounded by personal chefs, often leans towards healthy eating with homegrown foods for their daily diets.

But apparently, the princess does incorporate a familiar birthday tradition that we all know and love, including baking cakes for her children's birthdays.

As William and Catherine's oldest son's birthday approaches, it's very possible that the mom of three will be staying up way past her bedtime to make sure Prince George has a homemade treat to celebrate his big day.

And if that wasn't relatable enough, apparently, she uses a cake mix.

In an Instagram post in 2022, the princess described three new portraits released to mark her milestone occasion as special.

The photos, taken in November for her 40th birthday at London's Kew Gardens by photographer Paolo Roversi, are worthy of a future queen.

Captioning an image of one of the shots, she wrote, “Thank you for all of your very kind birthday wishes.

And to Paolo and the National Portrait Gallery for these three special portraits.”

People respect her.

People look up to her and admire her, and she's very much seen as a role model.

Certainly, over several days, we've seen more of the real Catherine, the person behind the title, than we have ever seen before.

The birthday cake tradition in the Wales family has always been significant, and Catherine has revealed how she stays up late into the night putting the final touches to a birthday cake for her children's birthdays.
