Royal Visit: Duke and Duchess of Cambridge Wow in Derry Londonderry

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge made a stunning appearance in Derry Londonderry today, following their glamorous presence at the James Bond premiere the previous night.

Kate once again captivated onlookers as she fearlessly held a tarantula spider named Charlotte, allowing it to crawl on her hands while , appearing slightly anxious, observed her every move.

Arriving in Northern Ireland this afternoon, the royal couple engaged in a series of activities, including meeting with young individuals and learning about various organizations striving to foster positive relationships within communities.

Their first stop was at Ulster University's Magee campus, where they interacted with students and encountered a menagerie of creatures, such as a snake, baby chicks, and the infamous tarantula at the institution's kids' farm wellbeing petting zoo.

Following their dazzling appearance at the Bond premiere, Kate opted for a vibrant magenta trouser suit designed by Amelia Wickstead, paired with a dark roll neck jumper and a ponytail hairstyle.

While observing the chickens in cages, Kate reminisced about their lockdown experience with animals, expressing how therapeutic it had been.

William chimed in, mentioning their growing collection of chickens.

Expressing interest in the tarantula, Kate eagerly requested to hold the spider, inquiring about its name.

Upon learning that the spider was named Charlotte, Kate shared a laugh and marveled at the creature as it traversed her hand.

William humorously suggested that the spider's movement was influenced by Kate's outfit, teasingly attributing it to her purple attire.

During their visit to the university, the royal couple interacted with nursing students whom they had previously conversed with via video call earlier in the year, gaining insights into their educational experiences amidst the pandemic.

They also inspected a unique simulated ambulance, exclusive to the region, utilized for training first-year students.

Embracing the Northern Irish culture, Kate and William indulged in local delicacies, sampled whisky, wheat, bread, and tatoe crisps.

Additionally, students enlightened them on regional expressions, concluding the experience with a melodious performance by the university's talented music students playing traditional instruments.

Later in the day, the couple visited the Derry Rugby Club, engaging with players, coaches, and volunteers participating in the Uniting Communities initiative, showcasing their rugby skills.

Through their official Twitter account, William and Kate expressed their delight in returning to Northern Ireland, highlighting their interactions with young individuals and community organizations during the pandemic.
