Royal Photographer Unveils Unique Insights into Meghan Markle
In a fascinating glimpse behind the lens, renowned photographer Samir Hussein has shared his thoughts on capturing the essence of Meghan Markle.
This revelation comes as part of an upcoming exhibition in London that celebrates the Hussein family's extensive legacy in royal photography.
Titled “Princess Diana, Accredited Access,” the exhibit promises to showcase not only the stunning images of the late Princess Diana but also insights into contemporary royals like Meghan and Harry.
Hussein, who gained international fame for his iconic photograph of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex under an umbrella in 2020, has spent years documenting the royal family.
He recalls how Meghan's arrival into royal life in 2018 brought a fresh dynamic to the traditional image of royalty.
According to him, her tactile nature—often seen holding hands with Prince Harry—set her apart from previous royal norms.
In a recent interview with the Telegraph, Hussein described Meghan's style as more elaborate than he initially anticipated.
He noted that her fashion choices consistently reflect her unique personality and modern approach to royal duties.
This was particularly evident during their public appearances, where the couple's affection for one another is palpable, a stark contrast to the reserved demeanor typically associated with royal couples.
The upcoming exhibition is set to open at Dockside Vaults in St Catherine Docks, London, on May 25 and will run until September 2.
After successful displays in Australia, the United States, and Canada, the London show aims to capture the hearts of a new audience.
It will feature photographs spanning three generations of the royal family, highlighting both the past and present.
Hussein's father, Anwar, and brother, Zak, will also have their works displayed, contributing to a rich narrative of royal history through their lenses.
The exhibition will include private photographs of Princess Diana, showcasing her multifaceted role as a mother, fashion icon, and humanitarian.
Reflecting on Diana's legacy, Hussein emphasized how her influence reshaped royal life.
He explained that each photograph tells a unique story, offering insights into how Diana navigated motherhood within the royal framework.
Her nurturing approach is evident in the way her sons, William and Harry, carry forward her values.
Moreover, the exhibition will delve into Diana's impact on royal fashion, marking a shift towards a more relatable and modern aesthetic.
Hussein noted that Diana's style not only defined an era but also inspired a new generation of royal fashion, blending elegance with accessibility.
As part of the exhibit, visitors will also see how the next generation of royals, including Harry and Meghan's children, are being photographed.
