**Royal Family Undergoes Changes Following Queen’s Passing**

II passed away at Balmoral on Thursday, leading to significant changes within the British royal family.

Immediately after her passing, Prince Charles, who had been the Prince of Wales for over 60 years, ascended the throne as III, becoming the monarch of the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth realms.

As is customary, Parker Bowles, the wife of the king, will now be styled as Queen Consort, following II's expressed wish earlier this year.

The transition in leadership has resulted in a reshuffling of the line of succession.

Prince William, previously second in line to the throne, is now next in line to become king.

Along with his wife, , the couple's royal titles have been updated, with the addition of the Dukedom of Cornwall to their names.

They are now officially known as the Duke and Duchess of Cornwall and Cambridge, although the titles of Prince and Princess of Wales are expected to follow in due course.

Despite the changes in the royal hierarchy, and are not anticipated to experience alterations to their names and titles.

The passing of Queen Elizabeth II at the age of 96 has prompted a period of national mourning in Britain, leading up to the monarch's state funeral scheduled for Monday, September 19.

Floral tributes have been laid in remembrance of the Queen at various locations across the country, including Hillsborough Castle in Northern Ireland, which was temporarily closed for the proclamation of III.

Notably, Prince William and 's three children, who now rank as second, third, and fourth in line to the throne, are expected to assume new royal titles.

Royal expert Marlene Koenig has indicated that they will likely become Prince and Princess of Cornwall and Cambridge, with their titles evolving in accordance with their father's future investiture as Prince of Wales.

The embassy in Dublin has opened a book of condolence for members of the public to express their sympathies, with dignitaries such as President Michael D Higgins and Taoiseach Micheal Martin already paying their respects.

The outpouring of support and condolences following the Queen's passing underscores the deep ties between the British monarchy and Ireland.

Ambassador Paul Johnston expressed gratitude for the expressions of sympathy received, emphasizing the commitment of King Charles III and Queen Consort to the relationship with Ireland.

As the nation mourns the loss of its long-reigning monarch, preparations are underway for a solemn farewell befitting Queen Elizabeth II's legacy and contributions to the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth.
