The royal family's summer traditions encompass various public events and appearances, including their cherished annual trip to the Scottish retreat in Aberdeenshire.

The summer getaway at Balmoral Castle offers the royals a chance to unwind away from the public eye, engaging in activities such as hunting, horse riding, and fishing on the expansive estate.

Despite being part of the royal family, the Prince and Princess of Wales, also known as the Duke and Duchess of Rothesay in Scotland, will be residing separately from the main family at Balmoral Castle.

Instead of staying close to the rest of the family, the couple and their children will be accommodated at Tam Nagar, a cottage gifted to by his late grandmother, the Queen Mother.

Situated within the sprawling 50,000-acre Balmoral estate, Tam Nagar is in proximity to Bourkehall, the residence of King Charles and Queen during the COVID-19 pandemic.
