Royal Drama Unfolds: Megan and Harry’s Demands Spark Outrage

Canadian officers have come forward this week, shedding light on the extravagant demands made by Megan and Harry, leading to a wasteful expenditure of taxpayer money.

Sources revealed that during the Invictus Games, two top chiefs resigned from their positions as a result of the couple's request for British Columbia taxpayers to foot the bill for all expenses related to their accommodation, travel, food, and security during the 2025 Games.

Specifically, the Harkles insisted on having an escort similar to the one provided during the Invictus Journey 2023, despite the exorbitant cost involved.

The couple's demanding behavior and the subsequent departure of the chiefs from their roles sparked outrage, particularly among Invictus volunteers.

Former security personnel of Megan and Harry also shared their unpleasant experiences while providing security for the couple, revealing that they were treated more like errand runners than security officers.

Tasks such as fetching coffee and groceries were assigned to these officers, resulting in a significant waste of valuable resources.

According to reports from The Sun, it became apparent that Megan Markle and 's security team began to lose respect for the royal pair following their relocation to Canada.

Despite being accompanied by a team of highly trained close protection officers when they stepped back as senior royals, concerns were raised by Scotland Yard officers responsible for their security.

These officers felt sidelined as they were tasked with menial duties instead of focusing on their primary role of ensuring the couple's safety.

A former close protection officer who had previously worked for other members of the royal family expressed concerns about the treatment of Megan and Harry's security team, highlighting a lack of appreciation for the officers' expertise.

While British taxpayers continued to fund the couple's security in Canada, with an annual expenditure of £60,000 for protection officers who were rotated every two weeks, the situation changed when the couple moved to the United States.

Upon their relocation, sought to maintain security coverage through a lawsuit against the Home Office, aiming to secure protection from Scotland Yard officers.

However, the lawsuit was unsuccessful as the judge ruled against his claim, emphasizing that public spending on security was tied to working royal status within the institution, not merely based on one's position in the line of succession.

In a letter to Prince Harry, it was made clear that his future plans outside of Britain meant that public funding for his security could not be justified.

The judge underscored that security arrangements would be reassessed once his future intentions were clarified.

Prince Harry had been forewarned by Prince Charles that leaving their roles as working royals would result in a loss of security coverage, as public financing for their protection would not be sustainable once they ceased fulfilling royal duties.

The Harkles' expectation of maintaining high-level security and funding post their royal exit appears unrealistic, with their perceived entitlement seemingly disconnected from the practicalities of their altered status.

The limited patience of the British and Canadian public towards such expenditures indicates that the couple may struggle to garner support for extended security arrangements moving forward.
