Royal Biographer Claims Meghan Markle Married Prince Harry for Fame
In a recent bombshell revelation, royal biographer Tom Bower has stirred controversy by suggesting that Meghan Markle's marriage to Prince Harry was driven by a desire for fame rather than love.
Bower, the author of a new book titled Revenge, Meghan, Harry and the War Between the Windsors, made these claims during an interview on Good Morning Britain.
According to Bower, Meghan believed that joining the royal family would elevate her status to that of a Hollywood celebrity.
However, as she delved deeper into royal duties, she allegedly found the workload overwhelming and the rewards lacking, leading to a disenchantment with royal life.
Bower went as far as to label Meghan as a “third-rate actress,” claiming that her show Suits had a relatively modest viewership.
During the interview, Bower acknowledged that many of his sources harbored negative sentiments towards Meghan due to her alleged directive to avoid speaking to him.
Despite host Ben Shepard's defense of Meghan's previous fame as an actress, Bower remained steadfast in his assertion that she was relatively unknown before her relationship with Prince Harry.
Bower further suggested that the royal family had made efforts to embrace Meghan's entry into their ranks, viewing it as a positive step towards diversity.
However, he contended that the situation soured over time, attributing much of the blame to Meghan's purported lack of understanding of royal protocols and traditions.
In response to concerns about bias in his book, Bower assured that he meticulously verified the information provided by his sources to ensure accuracy.
He emphasized that while he admires Meghan's ambitions and achievements, he believes that her approach to royal life may have contributed to the tensions within the family.
Notably, Bower disclosed that despite the controversial nature of his book, no legal actions have been taken by Meghan and Harry's legal team thus far.
This is not unfamiliar territory for Bower, who has faced legal challenges in the past over his unauthorized biographies of prominent figures.
In a separate development, royal expert Duncan Larkham shared insights on Meghan and Harry's public image strategy, suggesting that they appear resilient to criticism and adept at portraying themselves as victims in the face of scrutiny.
Larkham also hinted at Prince Harry's upcoming memoir as a potential platform for him to address criticisms and present his side of the story.
As the controversy surrounding Meghan and Harry continues to unfold, Bower's revelations have added fuel to the ongoing debate about the dynamics within the royal family and the motivations behind Meghan's entry into royal life.
The intricacies of fame, duty, and personal ambition remain central themes in this unfolding narrative.
