Princess Charlotte’s Touching Tribute to Diana: William Remembers his Mother
Princess Charlotte, the young daughter of Prince William and Duchess Kate, penned a heartfelt note to her late grandmother, Princess Diana, expressing how much her father misses her.
William was just 15 years old when Diana tragically passed away in a car accident in Paris back in 1997.
Despite the passage of time, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge ensured that Diana remained a cherished presence in their lives, especially on Mothering Sunday.
The couple shared on their official Kensington Royal Instagram page that their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, create handmade cards each year to honor their beloved “Granny Diana.”
In this year's tribute, Princess Charlotte's card contained a poignant message that read, “Dear Granny Diana, I am thinking of you on Mother's Day.
I love you very much.
Papa is missing you.
Lots of love, Charlotte.”
Meanwhile, Prince Louis' card featured a colorful drawing of a large heart adorned with adorable animal stickers, showcasing his artistic flair.
Prince George also expressed his enduring love for his late grandmother in his card, writing, “Dear Granny Diana, Happy Happy Mother's Day.
I love you very much, and think of you always.
Sending lots of love from George.”
Accompanying the children's heartfelt creations, Kensington Royal shared a caption emphasizing the bittersweet nature of Mother's Day, noting that many individuals are eagerly anticipating a time when they can embrace their mothers once more.
Known for their touching social media posts, Kate and William have consistently used their platform to commemorate special occasions and pay tribute to their loved ones.
Last year, they acknowledged the challenges families were facing due to the Covid-19 pandemic, reflecting on the importance of staying connected during difficult times.
On this Mother's Day, Queen Elizabeth II also joined in the remembrance, sharing a precious photograph of herself as a young girl alongside her mother, Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother, who passed away in 2002.
