Princess Catherine Shines in Tiara at Buckingham Palace Banquet
Princess Catherine, now taking on her role as the Princess of Wales, graced the State Banquet at Buckingham Palace in grand style by adorning her first tiara in almost three years.
The exquisite banquet, hosted in honor of the inaugural state visit of King Charles III's reign, welcomed the esteemed President of South Africa, Cyril Ramaphosa, to the United Kingdom.
Dressed in a stunning white gown designed by Jenny Packham, Princess Catherine paired her attire with the iconic Queen Mary's Lover's Knot Tiara, a piece adorned with pearls dangling delicately from diamond knots.
This particular tiara holds special significance as it was also a beloved accessory of her late mother-in-law, Princess Diana.
Not only did Princess Catherine don the elegant tiara, but she also accessorized with earrings previously owned by Princess Diana, which she had recently showcased at the Remembrance Sunday service.
Completing her regal ensemble, she wore a bracelet borrowed from Queen Elizabeth's impressive jewelry collection.
Adding to her majestic appearance were the Royal Family Order and the Dame Grand Cross of the Royal Victorian Order Star and Sash, accentuating her status and grace for the evening.
In a parallel display of royal splendor, Prince William complemented his attire with the Garter Star, the Thistle Star, and three miniature medals commemorating Queen Elizabeth's triumphant jubilees in 2002, 2012, and 2022.
Notably, this state visit marks a significant occasion as it is the first of its kind hosted by the British Royal Family since the visit of former U.S. President Donald Trump in 2019, largely due to the global impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.
The last time Princess Catherine adorned a tiara was during the diplomatic corps reception in December 2019, an annual gathering attended by a multitude of distinguished guests, including ambassadors, high commissioners, and government officials.
For this event, she elegantly wore the Lover's Knot Tiara alongside the Nizam of Hyderabad necklace, paired with a navy velvet gown featuring long sleeves, a creation by Alexander McQueen, the renowned designer behind her iconic Royal Wedding Dress.
