**Princess Beatrice Takes on New Role Following Queen Elizabeth II’s Passing**

In the wake of II's recent passing at the age of 96, significant changes are unfolding within the royal family.

Not only are emotions running high, but shifts in titles and responsibilities are also occurring.

, one of the queen's eight grandchildren and the eldest daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah, Duchess of York, has found herself thrust into a new role as a councillor of state.

This new position means that Beatrice is now among the select few individuals authorized to act on behalf of and stand in for III when the need arises.

Her duties will involve attending privy council meetings, endorsing official documents, and accepting the credentials of new ambassadors.

Before the queen's demise, the four designated councillors of state were her sons, Prince Charles and Prince Andrew, along with Charles' sons, Prince William and Prince Harry.

With Charles ascending to the throne, a vacancy emerged for a new councillor of state, which has now been filled by Beatrice.

The responsibility has fallen to her due to being the highest-ranking candidate in line to the throne over the age of 21.

Despite currently being ninth in line for succession, is now poised to support in his new role.

Additionally, it is noteworthy that , Queen Consort, Charles' wife of 17 years, is also eligible to step in for her husband if required.

Recently, Beatrice's husband, Italian Count Edo Marpelli Mozzi, shared a previously unseen photo of the Queen and , Duke of Edinburgh, shedding light on how they are coping with the loss.

The image captured the granddaughters of outside Balmoral Castle, seeking solace together amidst the tributes left by the public.

The heartfelt scene depicted visibly moved, with her father Prince Andrew offering comfort.

Upon returning to Balmoral after a brief prayer service, the royal family, dressed in mourning attire, received warm applause from onlookers.

Princess Beatrice and Eugenie, known for their close relationship with their grandmother, were unable to be present at her passing, with Eugenie residing in Portugal and Beatrice grounded due to travel restrictions.
