Prince William’s Sons’ Diverse Music Tastes Revealed
Prince William recently gave a peek into the musical preferences of his children during his visit to Singapore for the Earthshot Awards.
The future king shared insights into the favorite bands of his sons, Prince George and Prince Louis, surprising royal enthusiasts with the diversity in their choices.
While attending the 2023 Earthshot Awards in Singapore, Prince William had the opportunity to meet the band Honor Republic, who kicked off the event with a stellar performance at Mediacorp Theatre.
During a backstage chat with the band, Prince William disclosed that his youngest son, Prince Louis, is a big fan of Honor Republic.
Expressing his admiration, Prince William exclaimed, “You were outstanding!
How well the concert opened!
That was really amazing!
My youngest Louis adores your music.”
In contrast, Prince George, the eldest among his siblings, leans towards harder rock music, with a reported fondness for AC/DC when he wants to unwind.
While Prince William mingled with performers like Beeb Rexha and Bastille at the awards evening in Singapore, back home in Windsor, Prince George and Princess Charlotte were likely watching the show with their mother, Princess Kate.
It was revealed that Prince George is also a fan of Led Zeppelin, as shared by Caroline Mulveyhill from Rock Corps after the band's performance at the Coronation concert in May.
Discussing their family's eclectic musical tastes, Caroline mentioned, “George is a big fan of AC/DC and Led Zeppelin.”
Prince William's own music preferences seem to align more with those of his eldest son, as he previously admitted to being a huge fan of the American band Linkin Park during a visit to Gould High School in East Yorkshire in 2014.
Despite his modest vocal abilities, Prince William was reportedly heard singing Coldplay tunes late into the night after Prince George's birth in 2013.
