Prince William Takes on Morning School Run for George, Charlotte, and Louis
Prince William is set to take on the responsibility of doing the morning school run for his children – Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis – as they transition to the prestigious Lamerick Prep School with fees amounting to £7,000 per term.
The decision to move the children from Thomas's Battersea to Lamerick School marks a significant shift for the Cambridge family as they bid farewell to their London residence in favor of a new home in Windsor.
The daily commute for the royal siblings will involve a 14-mile round trip from the family's chosen residence within Windsor Great Park.
Both Prince William and Kate Middleton will be sharing the task of transporting their children to and from the school.
Despite not opting for boarding facilities, the annual tuition fees for the Cambridge children are estimated to reach approximately £53,628.
The breakdown of costs includes £13,167 per year for Louis in reception, £19,464 annually for Charlotte in Year 3, and £20,997 per year for George in Year 5.
Prince William is expected to personally chauffeur his three children to Lamerick School, located in Berkshire, every morning as they commence their education at the private institution in the coming weeks.
Nestled in 52 acres of picturesque countryside, Lamerick School is a co-educational preparatory school catering to 615 boys and girls aged 3 to 13.
Situated near the Cambridge's new residence, Adelaide Cottage, the school boasts its own orchard housing bees, chickens, and pigs, along with woodland areas, a golf course, swimming pool, cricket pitch, squash courts, and a dance studio.
With term fees ranging from £4,000 to £7,000 depending on the child's age, George and Charlotte will be transitioning to Lamerick School following their initial schooling at Thomas's Battersea.
Louis, on the other hand, will be joining the nursery class at the Berkshire-based school after completing his tenure at Wilcox Nursery in Kensington earlier this year.
While rumors swirled regarding the family's impending relocation, Kensington Palace officially confirmed the move to Windsor.
A statement released by the palace affirmed that Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis will commence their education at Lamerick School in Berkshire starting September 2022.
An insider disclosed that the royal children played a pivotal role in the decision to move to the countryside, aligning with Prince William and Kate's aspiration to provide them with a normal upbringing away from the scrutiny of central London.
The move reflects the parents' commitment to granting George, Charlotte, and Louis a sense of freedom and a more ordinary childhood experience compared to their current urban setting.
Expressing gratitude towards Thomas's Battersea for fostering a positive educational environment for George and Charlotte, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are pleased to have found a school in Lamerick that shares similar values and principles.
Jonathan Perry, the Headmaster at Lamerick School, expressed delight in welcoming Prince George, Princess Charlotte, Prince Louis, and all new pupils to the school community come September.
