has made his way to Dubai for a whirlwind 24-hour visit, aiming to highlight the best of British industry and talent.

This trip marks the first time the Duke of Cambridge is taking his global environmental initiative, the Earthshot Prize, on the road as it enters its second year.

His visit to the United Arab Emirates coincides with the country's 50th anniversary celebrations and aligns with the UK's National Day at Expo 2020 Dubai happening tomorrow.

Expo 2020 Dubai, a six-month event featuring participation from 190 countries showcasing innovations in technology, culture, and more, provides the backdrop for 's visit.

Alongside promoting the Earthshot Prize, he will also draw attention to efforts combating the illegal wildlife trade through his United for Wildlife campaign, established in 2014.

This trip represents Prince William's first overseas visit since traveling to the Republic of Ireland alongside his wife, Kate, back in February 2020.

The royal family's recent engagements in the Middle East, including visits to Jordan and Israel, underscore their efforts to strengthen ties with the Gulf state.

A spokesperson from Kensington Palace emphasized the deep and robust bond between the UK and the UAE, stating that Prince William's visit aims to further enhance these connections by engaging with young Emiratis, government leaders, and dedicated conservationists.

With Brexit prompting the UK to seek new trade partnerships globally, the Gulf countries have become a focal point.
