Prince William Jokes About Baby Number Four During Heartwarming Visit
During a recent visit to Lancashire, Prince William playfully dismissed the idea of welcoming a fourth child while his wife, the Duchess of Cambridge, enjoyed some quality time with an adorable baby.
The couple, who are already proud parents to Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, stopped by Church on the Street in Burnley.
This center is dedicated to assisting those grappling with issues such as poverty, homelessness, and addiction.
As they mingled with families at the center, Kate couldn't resist cradling three-and-a-half-month-old Anastasia Barry, the daughter of Trudy and Alistair Barry, both of whom work at the facility.
The sight of Kate cooing over the little one elicited warm reactions from those nearby.
William, observing the tender moment, humorously warned, “Don't give her any ideas,” prompting laughter from the crowd.
He then teased Kate, saying, “You can't take her with you,” adding a lighthearted touch to the occasion.
This isn't the first instance where the couple has hinted at not expanding their family further.
Back in 2019, during a trip to Northern Ireland, Kate met a five-month-old baby and admitted it stirred feelings of broodiness.
When the baby's father jokingly suggested baby number four, Kate responded with a laugh, mentioning that William might not be too thrilled about the prospect.
The visit to Church on the Street wasn't all fun and games, though.
A poignant moment unfolded when William comforted an 11-year-old schoolboy named Deacon Glover, who recently lost his mother.
William, who knows the pain of losing a parent himself, empathized with Deacon, saying, “I know how you feel.” He shared that he lost his own mother, Diana, Princess of Wales, when he was just 15 years old.
In a heartfelt exchange, William placed a reassuring hand on Deacon's shoulder and offered words of solace, saying, “It gets easier.” The Duke and Duchess took about 15 minutes to engage with Deacon and his great-grandmother, Carol Ellis, emphasizing their commitment to connecting with those in need.
The royal couple's visit was inspired by reports highlighting the impactful work of Pastor Mick Fleming, who founded Church on the Street in 2019.
The initiative aims to support the homeless and disadvantaged individuals in Burnley and its surrounding areas.
Since its inception, the project has flourished, transforming a former gym into a sanctuary for those in distress.
