Prince William and Princess Kate Steal the Spotlight at 2023 BAFTAs

and Princess Kate graced the red carpet outside the Royal Festival Hall, captivating all eyes as they made a grand entrance at the prestigious 2023 BAFTAs.

Following a well-deserved break spent with their children over the February half-term, the royal couple made a dazzling return to their official duties.

William exuded sophistication in a sleek black velvet tuxedo designed by Tom Ford, while Kate radiated elegance in a reworked Alexander McQueen one-shoulder gown paired with striking black opera gloves.

The Grecian-style gown adorned with floral detailing on the shoulder was a familiar sight, as the Princess had previously donned it at the 2019 BAFTAs.

Kate's exquisite opera gloves, crafted by glove-maker Cornelia James, complemented her ensemble along with a clutch from Jenny Packham.

Adding a touch of sparkle, she accessorized with £17.99 floral and rhinestone detail earrings from the popular High Street brand, Zara, and opted for a shimmering smokey eye makeup look.

This year's BAFTAs marked a significant moment for William and Kate, as it was their first attendance since 2020.

In 2021, had to withdraw from the event at the last minute due to the passing of his grandfather, the Duke of Edinburgh.

The previous year, scheduling conflicts prevented the couple from being physically present, with only William making a virtual appearance.

Since 2010, the Prince has held the esteemed position of BAFTA President, and Kate accompanied him to the star-studded affair for the first time in 2017.

Among the distinguished winners of the evening were Kate Blanchett for leading actress, Austin Butler for leading actor, and “All Quiet on the Western Front” for best film.

Engaging in conversations with industry leaders, William and Kate conversed with Anna Higgs, chair of the film committee at BAFTA, and Jane Millichip, CEO of the organization.

They were informed about the late II's unwavering support for the arts, with a special feature honoring her patronage showcased to the esteemed guests during the event.

Expressing admiration for the efforts being made to promote diversity within the industry, Prince William commended the leaders for their dedication.

Seated prominently in the front row at the Royal Festival Hall on London's South Bank, the couple was visibly moved as Dame Helen Mirren delivered a heartfelt tribute to William's late grandmother, II.
