Prince Harry’s Friendship with Hollywood Star Ends Over Revealing Incident
A former friend of Prince Harry has disclosed that their friendship has come to an end following a situation where the Duke of Sussex divulged too much information during a press conference.
The revelation was made by The Crown actor Dominic West, who portrayed King Charles III in the popular Netflix series.
West shared that he and Prince Harry, who were once close companions, are now estranged due to an incident that occurred at a charity event they both attended.
The 54-year-old actor opened up about the demise of his friendship with the royal during an interview on Times Radio.
West admitted that their relationship soured after he unintentionally shared sensitive details at a press conference, leading to a breakdown in communication between them.
The incident took place following their participation in the charity initiative Walking with the Wounded, which involved a challenging expedition through Antarctica.
Reflecting on the situation, West revealed, “We sort of lost touch because I said too much in a press conference, and so we didn't speak after that.”
When pressed for further details, he elaborated on the incident, stating, “I think I was asked what we did and what we did to celebrate when we got there, and I probably said too much.”
The actor's remarks shed light on the misstep that ultimately caused the rift in his friendship with Prince Harry.
During a conference in 2014, West expressed his excitement about Prince Harry's involvement in the charity event, emphasizing the royal's dedication to the cause.
He recounted Harry's hands-on approach, highlighting his skills in constructing latrines during the expedition.
