Reports have surfaced that , his wife , and uncle will not be in attendance at a significant state event this week, just days before 's funeral.

The event, to be hosted by III on Sunday, September 18, 2022, is set to include heads of states, official foreign guests, and working royals.

However, the trio has been notably left off the invite list.

A spokesperson from Buckingham Palace has confirmed that only working royals will participate in the event.

The statement from the palace indicated that the King and Queen Consort will host heads of state and official overseas guests at Buckingham Palace prior to the state funeral of .

The exclusion of Prince Harry, Meghan, and from the official state event has been made clear.

Despite this, Prince Harry will pay tribute to the Queen by wearing his military uniform on Saturday.

Special permission has been granted for Prince Harry to wear his military colors during a lying-in-state vigil organized by the Queen's grandchildren at Westminster Hall.

The vigil on Saturday evening will see the Queen's eight grandchildren, including Prince Harry and , standing in silence for a 15-minute tribute next to the Queen's coffin.
