Nigel Farage Urges Exclusion of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle from King Charles III’s Coronation Balcony Appearance
Former Brexit party leader Nigel Farage has voiced his expectations for the upcoming coronation of King Charles III, urging the public to hope for the good behavior of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
Farage emphasized the need for the couple, who are no longer working royals, to be excluded from the Buckingham Palace balcony during the historic event.
He acknowledged the difficulty of such a decision for Charles in snubbing his youngest son.
During an appearance on the Fox Business Network, Farage stressed that the balcony is traditionally reserved for working royals, citing past instances such as the late Queen's presence with Winston Churchill on VE Day.
Highlighting Harry and Meghan's choice to step back and relocate to America, Farage argued that while they may attend the coronation at the Abbey, they should not partake in the balcony appearance.
The debate surrounding Harry and Meghan's involvement in the coronation has escalated following the release of Prince Harry's memoir, “Spare,” which unveiled shocking revelations including a physical altercation between him and Prince William, and Queen Camilla's alleged disregard for the younger sibling.
Royal author Tom Bowe's claim that Charles fears not inviting Harry was also discussed by Farage, who agreed that it would be against paternal instincts to exclude his own son.
Despite the potential for disruption if Harry and Meghan are invited, Farage expressed his belief that the couple will likely attend the coronation.
The Buckingham Palace has yet to confirm the lineup for the balcony appearance alongside King Charles, but it is anticipated that Queen Camilla and Prince William will be present.
The coronation, a significant religious ceremony marking the sovereign's ascension to the throne, is set to captivate a global audience as the crown is ceremoniously placed upon the monarch's head.
