Meghan Markle’s Co-Star Reveals the Truth Behind the Royal Wedding’s Unpleasant Odor

In an unexpected twist, Rick Hoffman, known for his role as Louis Malo on the hit series “Suits,” has shed light on a rather uncomfortable moment during 's royal wedding to .

The actor recently opened up about an incident that left him with a memorable expression captured in photos from the event, which quickly went viral back in 2018.

Hoffman, now 53, recalled the moment when he found himself overwhelmed by a foul smell wafting through St. George's Church.

He humorously noted, “If you type my name into Google, you see me making this horrible face.”

It turns out that his expression was not just for show; it was a reaction to a truly unpleasant odor that he couldn't ignore.

At first, Hoffman thought the source of the smell might be bad breath from someone nearby.

However, as the ceremony progressed, he realized that the stench was more widespread than he initially suspected.

“I'm starting to get a little nervous because it's bothering me, and I'm very sensitive when it comes to that,” he admitted.

Imagine sitting through a ceremony that lasts an hour and a half, all while being assaulted by an unwelcome scent.

For Hoffman, it was a test of endurance.

He described the smell as something that was “constantly coming my way” and felt like it was invading his space.

Being someone who values cleanliness, Hoffman grew increasingly anxious that others might mistakenly believe the odor was emanating from him.

To ease his mind, he turned to his fellow “Suits” cast members and asked, “Do you guys smell that?”

To his dismay, they all replied with a resounding “No,” leaving him feeling isolated in his discomfort.

This realization only added to his distress, leading him to feel like he was “literally alone on an island.”

The combination of the ceremony's solemnity and the distracting odor made for a unique experience, one that he would never forget.

Adding a touch of humor to the situation, Hoffman revealed that Meghan was often the first to laugh at his over-sensitivity regarding hygiene.

“She always knew and would always laugh at how overly sensitive I was.

It was so ridiculous,” he shared during an appearance on the “Chicks in the Office” podcast.
