Meghan Markle Snubbed by Edward Enninful at British Vogue’s 2023 Forces for Change Party
Famous celebrities graced British Vogue's 2023 Forces for Change party in the heart of Mayfair on Thursday night.
The event, hosted by Edward Enninful and Vanessa King-Gorey, celebrated notable figures such as activist Munro Bergdorf, actor Gemma Chan, musician Little Sims, and England footballer Mary Earps as influential change-makers in culture.
The initiative, initially introduced in the September 2019 issue curated by Meghan Markle, aims to shine a light on individuals driving positive change across fashion, politics, sports, activism, and sustainability.
Beyond its noble cause, the Forces for Change party provided attendees with an opportunity to flaunt their stylish attire while enjoying premium beverages like Johnny Walker, Blue Label, Laurent Perrier, and 71 Gin.
Among the guests were Chioma Nardi, Alexa Chung, Jordan Dunne, and Leomi Anderson, who graced the vibrant red carpet adorned with the serene sounds of string instruments, clad in exquisite vintage ensembles sourced from eBay finds.
The star-studded guest list also included luminaries such as Leela Moss, Maya Jama, Sarah Burton, Baz Luhrmann, Sheila Atim, Rita Ora, and Romali Ali.
Forces for Change has evolved into a widespread movement recognizing public figures advocating for change in the realms of fashion, culture, politics, and beyond.
While Meghan Markle kickstarted the campaign in 2019, this year saw her exclusion from the guest list by Edward Enninful, marking a significant shift in their relationship.
Formerly allies, Enninful and Markle have reportedly severed ties, with Enninful strengthening his bond with the British royal family.
Meghan's absence from the event underscores her diminished influence sans her royal status.
Notably, Leah Williamson, a vocal critic of Meghan, was present at the Vogue party, exuding elegance in a ruched mini dress that accentuated her toned physique.
The lioness sported a chic hairstyle and radiant makeup, accessorizing with stunning diamond earrings, bracelet, and rings.
Williamson's attire showcased her athletic legs, paired with elegant flats for a touch of glamour.
Known for her royalist views, Leah previously expressed disapproval towards Meghan and Prince Harry's actions, particularly following their Netflix project that drew backlash from royal supporters.
In a recent accolade, Williamson was awarded the Order of the British Empire (OBE) by Prince William at Windsor Castle, commemorating England's Euro 2022 victory.
Alongside her teammates Lucy Bronze, Beth Mead, and Ellen White, Leah's contribution to the sport was recognized in the King's New Year's honours list, underscoring her dedication and success on the field.
Receiving her OBE from Prince William on October 4th, Williamson reflected on the significance of the award, acknowledging the journey that led to this prestigious recognition.
