**Meghan Markle Responds to Birth Certificate Controversy**
Meghan Markle has issued a strong statement following reports that her first name was removed from Archie's birth certificate.
Recent revelations suggested that in 2019, Prince Harry and Meghan discreetly eliminated her birth names, Rachel Meghan, from official documents, leaving only her title as Royal Highness, the Duchess of Sussex.
However, the Duchess has refuted these claims with a direct and forceful response.
A representative for Meghan conveyed a message to Page Six asserting that the alteration on public records in 2019 was mandated by the Palace, a fact supported by documentation from senior Palace officials.
It was clarified that this change was not instigated by Meghan herself, the Duchess of Sussex, or the Dutch of Sussex.
The adjustment took place on the 5th of June amidst speculations about a strained relationship between Harry, his brother Prince William, and their respective spouses, Meghan and Kate Middleton.
Shortly after the modification, the Sussexes distanced themselves from the joint charity initiative with the Cambridges, known as the Fab Four.
Subsequently, they relocated to Montecito, California, having stepped down as senior members of the Royal family in January 2020.
Initially, the British media portrayed the removal of Meghan's first names as an unprecedented act that could be interpreted as a slight towards the Cambridges, who included Kate's names on her children's certificates.
