Meghan Markle Left Out of Suits Revival: Friends Spill the Tea
In a surprising turn of events, Meghan Markle has officially been confirmed as absent from the highly anticipated revival of “Suits.”
Show creator Aaron Korsh has made it clear that Markle's character will not make an appearance in the new spin-off, which is set to unfold in Los Angeles.
This revelation comes from exclusive insights shared by The Mirror, shedding light on the direction Korsh wants to take with the franchise.
Korsh is currently developing a pilot and series treatment for “Suits LA,” focusing on a fresh ensemble of characters at a West Coast law firm.
Despite swirling rumors suggesting a potential comeback for Markle, it appears she isn't in the running for any roles at this stage.
The showrunner aims for this new iteration to establish its own identity, especially after the original series broke streaming records on Netflix.
The news was unveiled by Rachel Harris, a close friend of Korsh and a former “Suits” actress, during her appearance at the 11th Makeup Artists and Hairstylists Guild Awards in Beverly Hills.
Harris, who played Sheila Lace, shared her personal connection with Korsh and expressed her curiosity about the spin-off.
However, she quickly clarified that Markle would not be part of the project, stating, “Aaron Korsh has been very clear with me that Meghan Markle isn't going to be in ‘Suits LA.'”
Harris also noted that Korsh hasn't mentioned Markle at all, indicating a definitive separation from the former star.
This news comes on the heels of comments from Patrick J. Adams, Markle's former co-star, who admitted to feeling apprehensive about reaching out to her.
Adams, known for his role as Michael Ross, revealed that their communication has dwindled to nothing since Markle's rise to fame.
Adams' admission raises eyebrows, especially considering he and other cast members were invited to Markle's wedding to Prince Harry in 2018.
Yet, it seems the ties that once bound them have frayed significantly.
He candidly stated, “zero communications,” highlighting a stark shift in their relationship.
Many might wonder why a seasoned actor like Adams would feel intimidated to contact an old friend.
The answer may lie in Markle's evolving social status and the perception that she has cut ties with those who helped her along the way.
This pattern suggests a calculated move to distance herself from past connections as she navigates her new life.
Gina Torres, another cast member who attended the royal wedding, also revealed that her friendship with Markle has diminished.
In 2019, she openly stated, “I'm not in touch with Meghan,” downplaying their past camaraderie.
Torres emphasized the unpredictability of an acting career, noting that actors often meet countless people throughout their journeys.
The shifting dynamics among the “Suits” cast raise questions about loyalty and friendship in the face of fame.
While many would hope to maintain connections with those who supported them, Markle's approach appears to be quite the opposite.
Her current trajectory seems to prioritize new alliances over old friendships.
As the “Suits LA” spin-off gears up for production, it remains to be seen how the absence of Markle will impact the show's reception.
With Korsh determined to carve out a new path for the franchise, fans are left wondering what lies ahead for both the series and its former stars.
In the world of Hollywood, relationships can be as fleeting as fame itself.
