Meghan Markle: From Hollywood Starlet to Royal Controversy
Meghan Markle's journey from a Hollywood actress to a member of the British royal family has been anything but ordinary.
Before she became Duchess of Sussex, Meghan was best known for her role as Rachel Zane on the popular TV series “Suits.”
However, her exit from the show was not a surprise to those close to her, as reports indicate that the decision to write her character out had been made well in advance.
The series creator, Aaron Korsh, confirmed that he had planned for Rachel Zane to leave the show after marrying Mike Ross, played by Patrick J. Adams, in the seventh season.
Following their wedding, the couple relocated to Seattle to start a legal clinic, effectively marking the end of Meghan's storyline on “Suits.”
Interestingly, both Meghan and Patrick exited the show around the same time, leaving fans to speculate about the timing of their departures.
Despite the official narrative surrounding her exit, some royal watchers have claimed that Meghan wasn't even dating Prince Harry at the time she left “Suits.”
In fact, Piers Morgan, a well-known commentator, has echoed this sentiment, suggesting that Meghan had not yet crossed paths with the prince when she was written off the show.
According to royal author Tom Bauer, Meghan had aspirations of finding a British boyfriend long before meeting Harry, even aiming to participate in BBC's “Strictly Come Dancing.”
Bauer's insights suggest that Meghan was intent on immersing herself in British culture, seeking connections that would align her more closely with her newfound royal ambitions.
However, her transition into royal life did not come without its challenges.
The author notes a significant transformation in Meghan's demeanor after her relationship with Harry began, describing a shift towards what some would call an “arrogant” attitude.
Former co-stars have observed this change as well.
Bauer points out that Meghan's once-friendly rapport with her colleagues seemed to wane, with reports of her arriving late and exhibiting a lack of empathy.
This marked a stark contrast to her earlier days on set, where she was known for leading prayer meetings with the cast before filming.
Despite these allegations, Meghan's former “Suits” co-stars have come to her defense amid accusations of bullying from palace staff.
Patrick J. Adams took to social media to express his support for Meghan, while Abigail Spencer, another friend from the show, praised her character, stating that Meghan had always been the same person she met years ago.
