Meghan and Harry: Awarded for Nothing?

Outrage Follows Their Ripple of Hope Recognition

In a surprising turn of events, and have made headlines for reportedly shelling out a staggering one million pounds to secure a prime spot at the upcoming Ripple of Hope gala dinner on December 6th.

This exclusive event, hosted by the RFK Foundation, will see the couple seated alongside high-profile guests like the Obamas, Clintons, and Bidens—figures who have previously been honored at this prestigious gathering.

However, not everyone is thrilled about the Sussexes' involvement in this event.

Australian commentator Paul Murray has taken a strong stance, labeling them “two spoiled brats” for receiving the Ripple of Hope award.

According to Kerry Kennedy, president of the human rights nonprofit, the couple was recognized for their courageous decision to confront structural racism within the royal family, a move that they knew would likely lead to ostracism.

But Murray isn't buying it.

He argues that Harry and Meghan are being celebrated for doing “absolutely nothing” and asserts that their actions haven't brought about any real change within the monarchy.

In his view, the couple's accolades merely serve as another trophy for their collection, highlighting their ability to profit while seemingly contributing little of substance.

Adding fuel to the fire, 's biographer Angela Levin expressed her disbelief at the award.

She pointed out the irony of the couple being commended for tackling racism when there are members of the royal family with a more questionable past.

Levin raised eyebrows by referencing Harry's infamous Nazi costume incident, questioning the basis on which the couple was being honored.

British journalist Mike Graham chimed in, mocking the organization for failing to verify the facts surrounding the Sussexes' claims before awarding them.

He emphasized that much of the narrative stems from the controversial interview, which he believes was riddled with inaccuracies.

Levin echoed this sentiment, lamenting that the Sussexes have never disclosed the identity of the royal family member who allegedly commented on 's skin color.

Piers Morgan, a vocal critic of the couple, did not hold back in his condemnation of the award.

Speaking to Fox News, he described the recognition as “disgusting,” expressing his outrage that the Sussexes, who stepped away from royal duties and relocated to the U.S., are now being celebrated as heroes.

For him, their actions reflect a troubling trend in modern celebrity culture.

Morgan's frustration stems from what he perceives as the couple's exploitation of their royal titles for financial gain.

He argued that it's baffling to see them lauded by the Kennedys, a family he considers to be a kind of American royalty.

He believes this recognition undermines the very essence of honor and prestige.

The former tabloid editor also criticized Harry for potentially using his upcoming memoir to further air grievances against the royal family, particularly targeting his father, , who is still mourning the loss of II.

He painted a picture of Meghan as a woman who, despite her modest acting career, has spent her life attacking the monarchy.

Morgan's comments were laced with disappointment as he reflected on the Sussexes' trajectory since leaving the royal family.

He feels that their journey has turned into a spectacle of public criticism rather than constructive dialogue.

In a final jab, he directed his ire toward Kerry Kennedy, suggesting that she has tarnished her father's legacy by associating with the Sussexes.

For Morgan, honoring Meghan and Harry epitomizes everything wrong with contemporary celebrity culture and the way it often overlooks integrity in favor of sensationalism.

As the Ripple of Hope gala approaches, the spotlight remains firmly on Meghan and Harry.
