Meg Shakes with Rage as Godmother Reveals Her Biggest Secret
Royal fans around the world were on the edge of their seats, eagerly awaiting the announcement of Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan's newborn son's name.
Finally, the big reveal came, and baby Sussex was introduced to the world as Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor.
While no one in the royal family bears the name Archie officially, this choice may have stirred up a bit of controversy, particularly for Prince George.
It turns out that Prince George had been claiming the nickname Archie for himself.
According to a report by The Sun back in January, Prince George surprised a dog walker near his grandparents' home in Berkshire by introducing himself as Archie.
The dog walker, who was approached by Prince George while out for a stroll, shared her experience with the UK outlet.
She mentioned that despite being asked not to take photos by a police minder, Prince George took a liking to her dog and engaged in a friendly chat.
When she asked him his name, Prince George cheerfully responded, “I'm called Archie,” leaving the woman astonished.
Speculation ran wild at the time as to why Prince George chose to go by the name Archie.
Some suggested it could be a security measure, similar to how his father and uncle used codenames in their youth, known as Steve and Spike, respectively.
While there is no concrete evidence to confirm that Prince George is actually referred to as Archie by those close to him, it is possible that he simply made up the nickname on the spot or was playing a little game with the dog walker.
Interestingly, insiders reveal that Prince George's schoolmates actually call him PG, short for Prince George.
Regardless of the reason behind the nickname revelation, let's hope that this playful gesture does not reignite any tensions between the Cambridges and the Sussexes, whose relationship has been strained recently.
In a separate development, Meghan Markle found herself in the spotlight once again, this time for allegedly stealing attention away from Kate Middleton and Prince William's significant trip to the United States.
The controversy arose after a rare photo of Meghan and Harry's son, Archie Harrison, surfaced following the arrival of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge in the US for their first visit in eight years.
The image of Archie sitting on Meghan's lap during a web call with his grandmother, Doria Ragland, garnered immense praise from Sussex supporters but drew criticism from some royal fans who viewed it as an attempt to overshadow Kate and William's visit.
Archie, who has been shielded from public view since his birth in May 2019, made a surprise appearance in the photo that was shared by Professor Duchess Harris, although no context was provided about the conversation.
Despite the warm reception that Kate and William received from a large number of Americans, there was a cloud hanging over their visit due to a recent racism controversy.
This stemmed from the resignation of William's godmother from the royal household after repeatedly questioning a black British woman about her origins, casting a shadow over the royal couple's trip.
