**Louis Spencer to Inherit Princess Diana’s Childhood Home in Controversial Tradition**
Louis Spencer, the cousin of Prince Harry, is poised to inherit Princess Diana's childhood home, the 13,500-acre Althorpe estate in Northamptonshire, due to a contentious tradition.
Despite having three older sisters, the 27-year-old, often likened to his red-haired cousin, is set to become the heir apparent to the Spencer Earldom as the eldest son.
Known as Viscount Althorpe, Louis has been described as super-private and a talented actor by those familiar with him.
His eldest sister, Lady Kitty Spencer, 30, who gained attention alongside her siblings at Meghan and Harry's royal wedding, discussed the concept of male primogeniture, which dictates that Louis will be the inheritor.
The issue of primogeniture, according to Kitty, can be complex as societal perspectives evolve over time.
She emphasized that their upbringing has ingrained the understanding that Louis is the rightful heir, solely based on his gender, and expressed confidence in his ability to fulfill the responsibilities that come with inheriting such an aristocratic estate.
Louis is expected to take over the Grade 1 listed stately home, Althorpe House, along with the Earldom, and reports suggest that he has already begun preparations for this role by attending various trustees' meetings.
The current Earl Spencer, Princess Diana's brother, voiced his support for the tradition back in 2015, stating that while he would be content with Kitty inheriting the estate, it would go against the longstanding traditions associated with Althorpe.
Althorpe House holds significant historical and sentimental value as it was Princess Diana's childhood residence before she married Prince Charles in 1981.
Spanning 100,000 square feet with 90 rooms and a portrait gallery, the estate also includes properties in London, Norfolk, and Warwickshire.
Following Princess Diana's tragic passing in 1997, she was laid to rest on a small island within the ornamental Round Oval Lake on the estate grounds.
Louis, born in 1994 and raised in Cape Town alongside his sisters, is the youngest of Earl Spencer's four children from his first marriage.
After his parents' divorce in 1997, he relocated to the UK and pursued his education at the University of Edinburgh.
Louis, described by friends as a reserved individual and a promising actor, is anticipated to make a mark in the entertainment industry.
Noted for his understated demeanor and genuine nature, he is seen as a talent with great potential, drawing interest from both industry insiders and audiences alike.
Jonathan Shallott, Chairman of the Inter-Talent Agency, highlighted Louis' appeal, emphasizing his family background and physical attributes as assets that could propel his career, particularly in the American market.
