Kate Middleton Spotted Driving with Children in Windsor
Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, was recently photographed driving around Windsor with her three children – Prince George, aged 9, Princess Charlotte, aged 7, and Prince Louis, aged 4.
The royal family, including Prince William, has made a significant move from Kensington Palace to their new residence, Adelaide Cottage.
This relocation was primarily influenced by the children's enrollment at Lambrook, a prestigious private school near Ascot in Berkshire, following their departure from St Thomas school in Battersea.
The decision to move to Adelaide Cottage, which is closer to Windsor Castle, where Queen Elizabeth is currently recuperating from mobility issues, was reportedly prompted by the impending start of the children's academic year.
According to a Royal source cited by the Daily Mail, the family had to settle into their new home over the weekend to ensure the children could commence classes the following week.
The renovations at Adelaide Cottage are described as modest in comparison to typical royal standards, reflecting the parents' desire to provide their children with a more ordinary upbringing.
The source emphasized that the move was driven by the couple's wish to offer Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis a greater sense of freedom compared to their previous residence in bustling central London.
While Kensington Palace will remain the official residence for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, serving as the base for their office staff, the family also spends time at their country estate, Anmer Hall, a sprawling ten-bedroom property situated in Norfolk.
In a separate development, Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan made a surprise visit to the UK on Saturday morning, marking their return to the country following the Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebrations.
Notably, the couple did not bring their two children, Archie and Lilibet, on this trip.
