Jessica Paister Calls Out Meghan Markle’s Fashion Faux Pas While Defending Quinta Brunson’s Look

In the world of celebrity fashion, opinions can be as sharp as the outfits themselves.

Recently, stylist Jessica Paister found herself in the spotlight, defending actress Quinta Brunson against critics who took aim at her red carpet ensemble.

At the 75th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards, Brunson dazzled in a dark pink Dior dress, but not without attracting some scrutiny over its appearance.

Brunson's dress, featuring a square neckline and a full skirt, was the talk of the evening, particularly as she made history by becoming the first Black woman to win Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy in 42 years.

However, social media users were quick to point out the creases in her gown, leading to a flurry of comments online.

One Instagram user expressed uncertainty about the dress, noting, “I like the colour though not sure if it suits her but the creases, how was she allowed out?”

Others echoed similar sentiments, with remarks like, “Love the shape, hate the wrinkles.” Some even drew humorous comparisons to 's own fashion missteps, jokingly asking, “Who forgot to iron this dress?” It seemed that the wrinkles had sparked a lively debate among fashion enthusiasts and casual viewers alike.

In response to the backlash, Paister stepped up to clarify the situation.

She explained that Brunson's dress was made from crushed satin, which is intentionally designed to have that wrinkled look.

“Guys, guys, guys, it's crushed satin,” she wrote, emphasizing that the silhouette and color were stunning on Brunson.

The stylist contrasted this with Markle's past fashion blunders, asserting that the duchess often appeared in wrinkled clothing due to neglect rather than design choice.

Paister's comments highlighted a significant distinction between the two celebrities' fashion choices.

While Brunson's dress was purposefully styled, Markle has been criticized for her unkempt looks, which many argue stem from a lack of understanding about dressing for one's body shape.

“It always leaves me dumbfounded that Meghan doesn't know how to dress for a body shape,” Paister remarked, questioning the praise Markle receives for her style.

The stylist went on to suggest that Markle's high spending on clothes does not necessarily translate to good taste or styling.

“Knowing how much she spent on that one dress from Morocco, she can definitely afford a decent stylist,” Paister pointed out.

She speculated that Markle's self-perception might be clouding her judgment when it comes to fashion.

Adding to the conversation, personal stylist Lisa Talbot weighed in, discussing how Markle's fashion choices reflect her personality.

Talbot noted that Markle tends to shy away from formal attire, suggesting that her style choices are more about non-conformity than traditional elegance.

“She pushed the boundaries from a styling perspective,” Talbot explained, emphasizing that Markle's approach is rooted in comfort and personal expression.

As the debate rages on, it's clear that the intersection of celebrity, fashion, and public perception remains a hot topic.

Whether it's defending a rising star like Quinta Brunson or critiquing the choices of a seasoned royal like , the conversations surrounding these women's wardrobes continue to captivate audiences everywhere.
