Duke and Duchess of Cambridge Champion Mental Health Awareness

In a heartfelt message released on Thursday, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge took to video to highlight a cause they passionately support: mental health awareness.

The clip, shared by the Time to Change Mental Health campaign, features and Kate discussing the stigma surrounding mental health issues.

They expressed gratitude toward those who have actively participated in the campaign, helping others navigate their own mental health challenges.

, dressed in a casual blue jumper over a white shirt, emphasized the importance of community involvement.

“We wanted to say a big thank you to everyone who has shared their experiences and taken action through Time to Change,” he stated.

He underscored the significant impact that champions of the campaign have had over the last 15 years, inspiring countless individuals across the UK.

“Mental health has now, at last, moved into the mainstream as part of our daily lives,” he noted, reinforcing the need for ongoing dialogue and action against stigma.

She highlighted how movements like Time to Change have played a crucial role in shifting attitudes towards mental health, fostering greater openness in schools, communities, and workplaces.

Earlier this year, the couple showed their support for Time to Change's Time to Talk campaign.

They shared a Google GIF with the question, “Can a small conversation make a difference?”

accompanied by a powerful message: “It's easy to think we haven't got the power to make a change.

But a small conversation can make a big difference when it comes to tackling the stigma surrounding mental health.” This simple yet profound reminder encourages everyone to engage in discussions about mental well-being.

The Duke and Duchess's commitment to mental health advocacy is evident in their continuous efforts.

Just earlier this week, they returned to Westminster Abbey, the site of their wedding, to visit a pop-up vaccination clinic.

Their presence there was not only a nod to their past but also a reflection of their dedication to public health amid the ongoing pandemic.
