Duke and Duchess of Cambridge Celebrate New Home with a Lego Twist

In a delightful twist to their recent move, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have been honored with a whimsical Lego display at Legoland Windsor.

The couple is believed to have transitioned from their London residence to Adelaide Cottage on the Windsor Estate, which is currently home to the Queen.

To commemorate this shift, talented model-makers dedicated over 19 hours to create a stunning exhibit titled “Royal Removal Company.”

The centerpiece of this Lego extravaganza is an impressive 4,100-piece display depicting moving men hauling furniture outside a meticulously crafted replica of Windsor Castle, constructed from 39,000 Lego bricks.

This charming scene is part of the resort's Minniland, where visitors can enjoy miniature recreations of iconic landmarks and figures.

In this playful setup, Lego versions of , , and their three children—Prince George, , and —are featured alongside their family pet, a black Cocker Spaniel named Orla.

The display also includes a Lego representation of a member of the Queen's Guard, complete with a traditional red uniform and a black bearskin cap, standing watch at the castle's entrance.

Paula Lawton, the chief model-maker at Legoland Windsor, shared her excitement about the project, emphasizing the long-standing connection between the resort and the royal family.

“To welcome our new neighbors, our talented model-makers are giving the royals a bricktastic housewarming present by recreating the family in miniature form,” she explained.

The Royal Removal scene will be showcased throughout September, and there's hope that the Duke and Duchess, along with their children, will visit the resort to see their Lego likenesses.

Will Metcalfe, another model-maker involved in the project, expressed his desire for the royal family to come and meet their miniatures.

“I think that'd be quite fun for them,” he remarked.

This week marks the first time and have settled into their new home in Windsor.
