Duchess of Cambridge’s Hilarious Golf Attempt Brings Laughter at Charity Visit

In a delightful display of humor and humility, the Duchess of Cambridge found herself in stitches during a visit to a children's charity today.

The occasion turned comical when she enthusiastically took a swing at golf, only to completely miss the ball.

This lighthearted moment showcased her engaging personality as she interacted with young people at the Cheesy Waffles Project in County Durham.

and Kate made the trip to Durham after spending much of the lockdown at their family home in Norfolk, Anmer Hall.

Accompanied by their three children—Prince George, , and —the couple participated in several engagements throughout the day.

Their visit to the Cheesy Waffles Project was particularly memorable, as they aimed to support children and young adults with additional needs.

During her visit, the Duchess sported a relaxed look, re-wearing some of her favorite wardrobe staples.

Her cozy navy blue puffer jacket from Barbour and trusty See by Chloe boots added a touch of casual elegance to the day's events.

The choice of attire reflected her down-to-earth nature, making her relatable to the young people she met.

Before heading to the Cheesy Waffles Project, the royal couple toured Manor Farm, a family-run business near Darlington.

There, they explored various areas of the farm, including the cattle, carving, and lambing sheds, while chatting with owners Clare Wise and Stuart Chapman.

This visit highlighted their commitment to supporting local communities and understanding their challenges.

Once at the Cheesy Waffles Project, the Duke and Duchess learned about the charity's mission to equip its members with essential skills for a fulfilling adult life.

The organization caters to individuals aged 7 to 35, providing them with opportunities to develop independence and confidence.

Their efforts resonate deeply with the royal couple, who have long championed youth empowerment initiatives.

The Cheesy Waffles Project collaborates with The Key, a youth charity that fosters belief and ambition among young people across the northeast of England.

Originally known as the Key Fund, this organization was one of 26 charities selected by the Duke and Duchess to benefit from their Royal Wedding Charitable Gift Fund back in 2011.

During their visit, Kate and William were introduced to a group participating in The Key Framework, a youth-led development program.

They listened intently as the young people shared their experiences working on a well-being and mindfulness project.

This interaction underscored the importance of youth engagement and the positive impact of hands-on learning.

In addition to learning about the projects, the royal duo joined the young participants in various outdoor activities, including golf putting and creating natural artwork.

These fun activities not only fostered camaraderie but also allowed the Duchess to showcase her playful side, even if her golf skills left something to be desired.

Interestingly, Kate's history with golf remains somewhat of a mystery.

However, once revealed that he had a rather unfortunate encounter with a golf club back in 2009.

While recounting the story to a young cancer patient, he pointed to a scar on his forehead, humorously referring to it as his “Harry Potter scar.”
