**Duchess of Cambridge to Team Up with Tennis Ace Roger Federer for Charitable Tennis Event**

The Duchess of Cambridge is set to team up with tennis legend Roger Federer for a special tennis event next month.

Kate will be joining forces with the eight-time Wimbledon champion for a day of tennis activities with schoolchildren in East London.

Known for their strong personal bond, the Royal and the Swiss tennis star will be meeting children aged 8 to 15, providing them with an exciting and interactive tennis experience.

A passionate tennis player herself, the Duchess has crossed paths with Federer, 41, on multiple occasions throughout her role as a patron of the Lawn Tennis Association.

Despite missing out on Wimbledon this year due to injury, the former world number one has previously played tennis with Prince George, 9, and was even a guest at Pippa Middleton’s wedding back in 2017.

The upcoming Day of Tennis is part of a newly announced joint charitable initiative that aims to support two organizations endorsed by the Duchess of Cambridge.

All proceeds generated from ticket sales for the Lava Cup Open Practice Day, scheduled for September 22 at the O2 arena, will be divided between Action for Children and the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA), specifically its charitable arm, the LTA Tennis Foundation.

The Lava Cup, a prestigious three-day team competition co-founded by Federer, will feature six top European players facing off against six counterparts from around the globe.

Tickets for the Open Practice Day, offering fans the opportunity to witness Federer and other tennis superstars in action, will go on sale starting August 22.

The collaborative effort was initiated by the Duchess of Cambridge herself, reflecting her deep commitment to promoting grassroots tennis and engaging young individuals from diverse backgrounds in the sport.

Renowned for her active involvement in tennis-related engagements, Kate has previously shared the court with rising star Emma Raducanu during a celebratory match following her US Open victory last year.

A devoted tennis enthusiast like her husband, the Duchess frequently attends Wimbledon as part of her role as patron of the All England club.

The royal family even boasts a tennis court at their country residence, Anmer Hall in Norfolk.

Federer has praised Prince George’s tennis skills after playing alongside the young royal in 2019.

The contributions received by Action for Children, an organization dedicated to supporting vulnerable children and families across the UK, will aid in providing essential care, emotional support, and enjoyable activities for children in need.
