**Duchess of Cambridge Shines in Alexander McQueen Gown at BAFTAs**

The Duchess of Cambridge exuded elegance and grace as she braved the chilly London weather in a stunning off-the-shoulder gown by Alexander McQueen at the 70th Annual EE British Academy Film Awards in February 2017.

Amid concerns that her attire might outshine the event's nominees, effortlessly showcased a blend of sophistication and glamour on the red carpet, making a grand entrance alongside her husband, .

Kate's choice of attire for the evening was a bespoke bada style dress by Alexander McQueen, featuring delicate white floral accents and a flowing tiered skirt.

A modified version of the designer's tiered violet jackwood dress from the Fall 2016 collection, the black gown boasted thin straps, boning in the bodice, and intricate organza layering throughout the skirt, crafted from a luxurious silk mix fabric.

Reports suggest the dress was valued at an impressive US$10,605.

Complementing her ensemble, the Duchess carried a matching heart clasp satin box clutch, also by Alexander McQueen, adorned with a two-tone heart-shaped metal clasp embellished with sparkling crystals and faux pearls.

Retailing at US$2,075, £1,659 sterling, the clutch added a touch of sophistication to Kate's red carpet look.

For accessories, Kate donned a pair of striking earrings, featuring pear-shaped central stones surrounded by diamonds or diamond-like stones.

The lower pendant of the earrings showcased a reversed pear-shaped stone encircled by dazzling diamonds, speculated to be morganite or quartz.

While the exact details of the earrings remain a mystery, they made a bold statement alongside Kate's ensemble.

Among Kate's more recognizable jewelry pieces was the wedding gift bracelet, originally given by to II in 1947.

Adorned with diamonds sourced from a tiara belonging to Princess Andrew of Greece and Denmark, the platinum bracelet holds sentimental value and has been previously worn by the Duchess at prestigious events, including the Chinese State Banquet in 2015.
