Duchess of Cambridge Prioritizes Queen Over Personal Life This Christmas

The Duchess of Cambridge is reportedly putting the Queen ahead of her personal life this Christmas season.

With this being the Queen's first Christmas without , Duchess Catherine and are expected to spend the holiday at Sandringham alongside their children.

Following the passing of the Duke of Edinburgh in April at the age of 99, he was laid to rest at Windsor Castle a week later.

Catherine's decision to spend Christmas with the Queen is aimed at ensuring her Majesty does not feel lonely during this time.

Accompanied by her husband, , and their three children, the royal family will gather at the Sandringham Estate in Norfolk.

In an interview with OK Magazine, Royal Correspondent Kate Nicholl shed light on the Duchess's commitment to her royal duties.

Nicholl revealed that initially, they attempted to alternate Christmases between the Queen's family and the Middletons.

However, Catherine and William now prioritize their responsibilities over personal preferences more than ever.

Despite Christmas traditionally being a significant celebration for the Middletons, the Duchess has willingly made the sacrifice to be present at Sandringham on both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

Kate Nicholl highlighted the unique experience the Cambridge children have during the festive season.

She mentioned that having two Christmases is an enjoyable affair for the young royals.

They get to revel in the festivities twice – once with their great-grandmother, the Queen, and then at their Bucklebury home with the Middletons.

While the children may be tech-savvy like many others, the Duke and Duchess opt for practical gifts rather than solely focusing on technology.

Kate emphasized the importance of balancing screen time and practicality when selecting presents for George, Charlotte, and Louis.

From the start, the Duchess has taken an active role in parenting, drawing inspiration from her own upbringing by Michael and Carol Middleton.

Even during challenging times, such as the lockdown at Anmer Hall, Kate ensured that George, Charlotte, and Louis had opportunities to explore the outdoors and enjoy fresh air.

The children have access to various outdoor amenities such as climbing frames, swings, and a pond.

Additionally, each child has their own section in the kitchen garden, fostering a sense of responsibility and connection to nature.

It is believed that 's parenting approach serves as a guiding influence on how Prince William and Catherine raise their children.
