Duchess of Cambridge Dazzles in £10 Earrings During Mental Health Visit

In a delightful display of her down-to-earth style, the Duchess of Cambridge recently donned a pair of £10 earrings while visiting a mental health text service that she played a pivotal role in establishing.

met with volunteers, clinical supervisors, and fundraisers at ShoutAid 5258, a service launched in 2019 through the collaborative efforts of the Cambridges and their Royal Foundation.

For this special visit, Kate chose an olive green patterned dress featuring a charming pussybow neckline, designed by Derek Lamb, which retails for £355.

She paired the elegant dress with chic black boots from Ralph Lauren, showcasing her signature fashion sense.

However, it was her choice of accessories that truly caught attention—a simple yet stylish pair of gold-plated earrings from ASOS, priced at just £10.

This isn't the first time Kate has sported these affordable earrings.

They made an appearance last October during her keynote speech to launch the Action on Addiction campaign.

Furthermore, she wore them again while attending the reopening of the Vienna Museum in London back in May 2021.

This consistency in style highlights her preference for blending elegance with budget-friendly choices.

During her visit to Shout Today, Kate celebrated a significant milestone: the organization had reached one million text conversations.

The demand for the service has skyrocketed, increasing by 140% since the pandemic began.

During her time there, Kate learned about the pressing need for more volunteers to meet this growing requirement for support.

Shout is notable for being the UK's only 24/7 text messaging support service, providing confidential help to anyone feeling overwhelmed.

It's free to initiate a conversation by texting SHOUT to 85258, accessible across all major mobile networks in the UK.

The service is backed by clinical supervisors and a dedicated team of around 2,500 trained volunteers, ensuring round-the-clock support for those in need.

The launch of Shout marked the first major project for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge alongside the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

It came about following a substantial £3 million investment from the Royal Foundation in May 2019.
