Duchess of Cambridge Attends Event to Honor Hold Still Project Partners

The Duchess of Cambridge graced an event on Wednesday evening to express her gratitude towards the partners involved in the Hold Still project.

The event was documented through photos shared on the official social media accounts of the Duke and Duchess.

Last year, Kate initiated the photographic project with the aim of capturing the essence of the United Kingdom during the national lockdowns.

Subsequently, an exhibition showcasing selected photos was unveiled, followed by the publication of the book, “Hold Still: A Portrait of Our Nation in 2020.”

Radiant in a striking white belted chiffon dress, the Royal engaged in conversations with attendees at the event while elegantly sporting a white tweed military blazer.

The caption accompanying the photos conveyed appreciation to the dedicated partners who played a pivotal role in bringing the Hold Still project to fruition.

Despite the challenges, the collaborative effort behind this remarkable project finally culminated in a successful gathering that evening.

The concept for the Hold Still 2020 initiative emerged at the onset of the pandemic, with a vision to foster unity among individuals and communities through the impactful medium of photography.

The realization of this vision was made possible by the collective efforts of various partners, including the National Portrait Gallery, Coop UK, Book Fairies UK, among others.

Remarkably, the coordination of this extensive project transpired from humble kitchen tables and spare bedrooms.
