Duchess Kate Dazzles in Pastel Green Dress During Bahamas Engagement

The Duchess of Cambridge made a stunning entrance in the Bahamas today, stepping out in a chic pastel green dress for her first official engagement.

Accompanied by , the couple visited Sibyl Strachan Primary School in Nassau, where they had the opportunity to meet both students and faculty.

Their arrival was marked by a downpour, but the royal couple managed to stay dry under vibrant umbrellas.

Kate, 40, looked every bit the style icon in her £350 midi dress from the fashionable brand Self Portrait.

The dress featured charming puff sleeves and intricate pleating along the bodice, perfectly suited for the tropical setting.

She completed her look with elegant £525 white Jimmy Choo heels and a pair of gold dangling earrings from local designer Nadia Irena, which cost £57.

Keeping things classy, the Duchess opted for minimal accessories, allowing her outfit to shine.

The earrings were a nod to Bahamian craftsmanship, adding a personal touch to her ensemble.

The dress itself is touted as a summer essential, designed to be lightweight and versatile enough for year-round wear.

As always, Kate showcased her signature hairstyle, sporting a sleek blow-dry that accentuated her graceful appearance.

The couple was also set to participate in the school's morning assembly, where children from various schools across the islands would connect with them virtually.

In terms of makeup, Kate went for a glamorous look featuring a dark brown smokey eye, complemented by peach-toned blush and light bronzer.

The overall effect was one of effortless elegance, aligning perfectly with the occasion.

While making their way to the school, Kate humorously remarked, “Oh my gosh!

The weather, sorry we've brought England's rain with us,” to which William added, “We've brought the weather, haven't we?”

Ironically, back in the UK, temperatures soared to a pleasant 19°C (66°F), prompting beachgoers to flock to the coast.

The assembly was particularly significant, as it marked a return to normalcy for schools in the Bahamas, which had been closed for nearly two years due to the pandemic.

Later in the day, the Duke and Duchess were scheduled to join a sailing regatta in honor of the Queen's Platinum Jubilee, where they would compete against each other on the water.

Their itinerary also included an informal gathering with frontline workers in the Garden of Remembrance, where they would listen to personal accounts of the challenges faced during the pandemic.

In the evening, they were expected to attend a dinner hosted by Governor-General Sir Cornelius Smith, featuring local leaders and heroes, with William slated to deliver a speech.

This visit marks the final leg of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's eight-day Caribbean tour, which kicked off on March 19 and has already taken them to Belize and Jamaica.

The couple's time in the Bahamas promises to be packed with activities, including a visit to a coral farm dedicated to reef restoration, a project that received £1 million last year as part of the Duke's inaugural Earthshot Prize.

With their stylish appearances and engaging interactions, the Cambridges continue to leave a lasting impression as they wrap up their Caribbean adventure.

Their commitment to connecting with local communities and highlighting important environmental issues underscores the significance of their tour.
