Catherine Dazzles in Ice Blue Jenny Packham Gown at Paris Gala
Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, and Prince William graced a glittering black-tie gala dinner in Paris on 17th March 2017.
The royal couple, accompanied by Britain's Ambassador to France, Edward Llewellyn, and Lady Anne Llewellyn, added regal charm to the exclusive event held at the British Ambassador's residence, also known as the Hotel de Charest.
Their two-day visit to Paris was at the behest of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, marking their third engagement in the city.
The gala soirée saw a star-studded guest list, including renowned personalities from both French and British entertainment spheres.
Among the attendees were French actors Audrey Tautou and Jean Reno, British actor Dane Christen Scott-Thomas, now residing in Paris, and French former footballer Robert Pires.
Prince William took the stage to deliver a message from Queen Elizabeth II to the British Embassy, adding a touch of royal protocol to the evening.
Stealing the spotlight with her sartorial choice, Catherine donned a breathtaking gown by esteemed British designer Jenny Packham.
The ethereal ice blue ensemble featured a sheer bodice, delicate sleeves, and a sweeping floor-length skirt adorned with intricate crystal, sequin, and floral embellishments.
Previously retailing at Jimmy's New York for £3,135, the dress was described as a dazzling masterpiece with floral-sequin accents throughout.
Complementing her Jenny Packham creation, the Duchess opted for sophistication with her choice of footwear – the Oscar de la Renta Lame Cabrinha pumps.
Crafted from a shimmering platinum-hued material in Italy, the 100mm-heeled pumps boasted a pointed toe, scalloped sides, and a raised back.
These elegant shoes, available for purchase on Oscar de la Renta's website at £592, had made their debut at the UK India Year of Culture 2017 event earlier in February.
Adding a touch of royal heritage to her ensemble, Catherine accessorized with the Queen's Diamond Chandelier Earrings, a piece she has borrowed on multiple occasions since first showcasing them at a BAFTA event in Los Angeles in 2011.
