Carol Middleton Takes Party Pieces to the U.S. Market

In a significant move, Carol Middleton, mother of the Duchess of Cambridge, has crossed the Atlantic to introduce her party supply brand, Party Pieces, to the United States for the very first time.

This exciting expansion marks a notable milestone as her products hit the shelves of Saker Shoprite grocery stores in New Jersey.

On Tuesday, Party Pieces shared images on Instagram showcasing Carol exploring the aisles filled with an array of colorful balloons, themed plates, gift bags, and more.

The photos not only highlight the vibrant products but also capture Carol engaging with store associates and chatting with customers about her brand’s offerings.

This venture represents Party Pieces’ inaugural retail partnership outside the UK, signaling the beginning of a broader strategy to grow its presence in the American market.

With products now available in 39 Saker Shoprite locations, this launch follows a successful e-commerce introduction in the UK just a year prior, where Party Pieces quickly became a best-selling collection.

Expressing her enthusiasm, Carol, 67, stated, “It’s very exciting to see our Party Pieces collection expanding into the U.S.

Starting with Saker Shoprites, a family-owned business with a rich history of community service, feels like the perfect fit.” She emphasized the collaborative effort that led to this milestone, highlighting the teamwork involved in making this dream a reality.

The roots of Party Pieces can be traced back to Carol’s experience as a mother.

In an interview with the Daily Mail, she revealed that her three children—Catherine, Pippa, and James—were the driving force behind her decision to create the brand.

“My children inspired my business and have been involved from the start,” she shared, reflecting on how their support has shaped her journey.

The idea for Party Pieces sparked during Catherine’s fifth birthday party when Carol struggled to find appealing decorations.

“All I could find were basic clown plates,” she recalled.

Recognizing a gap in the market for stylish yet affordable party supplies, she decided to take matters into her own hands and design her own products.

Despite facing rejections from various retailers, Carol’s determination never wavered.

She began her entrepreneurial journey from her kitchen table in Berkshire, promoting her creations at her children’s nursery school.

Her perseverance paid off, and now, three decades later, Party Pieces continues to thrive, introducing new products regularly.

As she launches this latest collection, Carol reflects on her long journey.

“Thirty-five years later, I’m launching the Party Pieces collection.

I suppose some things are worth the wait,” she said with a sense of accomplishment.

Rather than slowing down, she views this as an exciting new chapter in her career.

Carol’s passion for party trends shows no signs of fading.

Her commitment to bringing joy and creativity to celebrations remains as strong as ever.
