A Sweet Photo That Led to a Royal Departure

A sweet photo featuring Prince George reportedly convinced and that they need to get out of the royal family, an author has claimed.

The Duke and Duchess are said to have already believed the firm was conspiring against them before an official snap of the Queen and her heirs.

It showed the late Elizabeth with the now , and his son, who was 6 at the time in the throne room of Buckingham Palace.

It was released at the beginning of 2020, days before Harry and Meghan first confirmed they planned to step down as working royals.

Author Andrew Morton claims this was a wake-up call for the couple and the final push they needed to get out.

On the face of it, the pictures simply line up the future of the monarchy and mirrored many historic portraits, but it is alleged to have caused upset behind the scenes.

In the book Meghan, a Hollywood Princess, Morton wrote, the royal couple suspected the entire situation was conspiring against them, and as they thought the evidence was all around them, the unspoken code was straightforward, the future of the monarchy was assured, with or without Meghan and Harry.

These fears were later to be confirmed when Harry cancelled a meeting with the Queen, in which he wanted to discuss his royal future, Morton claimed.

In this sense, despite their international popularity, they were low down on the royal totem pole, was confirmed when Harry arranged to meet the Queen for a grandson to grandmother chat in early January.

At the last minute, the meeting was postponed.

Harry suspected classical internal politics.

His family concerned that anything the Queen agreed during formal conversation would be used by Harry as a negotiating tactic.

On speaking to the Mirror podcast, Pod Save the King, Morton revealed Harry and Meghan had started to think about leaving the firm far earlier than the public thought, and had talks just beginning six months after their wedding.

Morton said, he was having a conversation in the London hotel with back in 2018, just six months after they had been married, so they were thinking about a different direction of travel pretty early on.

The irony is that they had been given the keys to the first class lounge, when was given the position of youth ambassador to William and Catherine.

The couple announced that they were stepping back from Buckingham Palace in January 2020, and their statement read, after many months of reflection and internal discussions, we have chosen to make a transition this year and starting to carve out a new progressive role within the institution.

We intend to step back as senior members of the royal family and work to become financially independent while continuing to fully support Her Majesty the Queen.

It is with your encouragement, particularly over the last few years, that we feel prepared to make this adjustment.

We now plan to balance our time between the UK and North America, continuing to honour our duty to the Queen, the Commonwealth and our patronages.

This geographic balance will enable us to raise our son with an appreciation for the royal tradition into which it was born, while also providing our family with the space to focus on the next chapter, including the launch of our new charitable entity.

At the time, Buckingham Palace spokeswoman said in response that discussions with the couple were at an early stage, and added, we understand their desire to take a different approach, but there are complicated issues that will take time to work through.

So what do you think about this news?

Do you think Meghan is just jealous of Cambridge coronation role, and that is the very reason she is trying to humiliate them before the coronation?

Write it in the comment section below, let me know what you think.

Until then, I guess we will just have to wait and see if things turn out to be something after all.
