A Royal Legacy: Sarah Ferguson Embraces the Queen’s Beloved Corgis
In a touching tribute to the late Queen Elizabeth II, Sarah Ferguson has taken on the responsibility of caring for two of the Queen's cherished Corgis.
Following the Queen's passing on September 8 at the age of 96, Ferguson sees this role as a significant honor.
The Queen, who reigned for an impressive 70 years, was known for her love of Corgis, having bred ten generations of the breed throughout her lifetime.
Ferguson, along with her ex-husband Prince Andrew, now looks after Sandy and Mewick, the two dogs that were closest to the Queen.
Recently, she shared a delightful photo of herself with the Corgis on her social media, which quickly caught the attention of her followers.
In her post, she affectionately referred to them as “the presents that keep giving.”
Speaking to the Telegraph, Ferguson expressed her deep appreciation for the dogs, calling them “national treasures.”
She emphasized their well-mannered upbringing, stating, “They have been taught well.” This sentiment reflects the special bond that exists not only between the dogs and their new caretaker but also highlights the legacy left by the Queen.
Now, Ferguson's household is bustling with energy as she has welcomed a total of seven dogs into her home.
