Kate Dazzles in Turquoise Coat and £1,450 Hat as She Debuts as Colonel on St Paddy’s Day

Kate, also known as the Princess of Wales, made a grand entrance at Mon's Barracks in Aldershot to partake in the annual St Patrick's Day parade.

This marked her inaugural attendance at the event in her new role as the Colonel of the Irish Guards, a position previously held by her husband, .

In her capacity as Colonel, Kate presented the Irish Wolfhound Regimental Mascot with traditional sprigs of shamrock, a gesture that was later extended to officers and guardsmen for distribution among the ranks.

For this special occasion, Kate opted for a striking turquoise coat dress, deviating slightly from her usual green attire for St Patrick's Day celebrations since she became a member of the Royal Family back in 2011.

Embracing the spirit of the day dedicated to Ireland's National Saint, Kate looked resplendent in the vibrant hue of green that adorned her ensemble.

The eye-catching coat dress boasted a high collar and a row of buttons adorning its bodice, perfectly complemented by a coordinating fascinator and suede heels.

The bespoke Catherine Walker design of Kate's coat exemplified the exquisite craftsmanship of the renowned British designer, whom the Princess frequently supports.

Her elegant fascinator, created by Jane Taylor, came with a hefty price tag of £1,450.

Adding a touch of symbolism, Kate adorned her outfit with a delicate gold brooch shaped like a shamrock, elegantly pinned to the left lapel of her coat.

With her hair styled sleek and tucked behind her ears, Kate kept her makeup understated, opting for black mascara and a soft pink lipstick.

Following the parade, the royal couple, and Kate, engaged with the Irish Guards Association, a group comprising former members of the Irish Guards.

During the ceremonial proceedings, Kate was tasked with inspecting the front rank, while William took charge of the second rank.
