Their children—Prince George, , and —were also part of the day's festivities, ready to join their parents on the iconic Buckingham Palace balcony alongside other members of the royal family, including Prince Charles and the Queen herself.

Kate's choice of attire—a striking Alexander McQueen coat dress—was not just a fashion statement but also a nod to tradition, having worn the same piece last summer during a G7 reception at the Eden Project.

Known for her affinity for British designers, Kate has often showcased McQueen's creations, most notably at her own wedding in 2011.

To complete her look, she accessorized with a chic Philip Treacy hat and paid homage to her late mother-in-law, , by wearing her exquisite earrings and necklace.

Kate elegantly styled her hair in a sleek plaited bun, opting for a natural makeup look that highlighted her features with a light foundation and subtle smoky lipstick.

The royal accessories were particularly meaningful.

The diamond and sapphire earrings, believed to be a wedding gift from , and the necklace from Diana's collection added a sentimental touch to her outfit.

This necklace had previously made an appearance during a reception at Buckingham Palace in 2020, when Kate welcomed President Zelensky and his wife.

As the day progressed, Prince William and Kate expressed their excitement for the Queen's Platinum Jubilee, marking their first official engagement with Harry and Meghan in two years at the Trooping the Colour event.

They took to social media to share their enthusiasm, stating they looked forward to celebrating and seeing how others were joining in the jubilee festivities.

The royal procession began with three carriages leaving Buckingham Palace, with Kate and her children riding alongside the Duchess of Cornwall in the first carriage.

The sun shone brightly as the Earl and Countess of Wessex followed closely behind, accompanied by their son, James, Viscount Severn.

The third carriage featured the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester along with Vice-Admiral Sir Tim Lawrence.

Inside the carriage, Louis sat between his older siblings, George and Charlotte, with Kate and seated opposite.

The children, dressed in a coordinated palette of light blue, navy, and white, delighted the crowd with their cheerful waves.

At one moment, a playful interaction unfolded as Charlotte appeared to gently push Louis's hand down, all while squinting against the bright sunlight.

Upon their arrival at Horse Guards Parade, the Cambridge children demonstrated their royal decorum by bowing their heads during the National Anthem.

George looked dapper in a navy suit paired with a white shirt and blue tie, while Louis sported an adorable sailor-style outfit reminiscent of his father's attire from the 1985 Trooping event.

Charlotte, looking lovely in a cornflower dress, had her hair styled with two delicate plaits tied with a blue ribbon.

She curiously peered out of the carriage window, pointing excitedly at the ceremony, embodying the youthful spirit of the day.
