Family Fun at the Festival of British Eventing: Mike Tindall Takes the Kids to Gatcombe Park
Mike Tindall had quite a busy day as he took his three children to the Festival of British Eventing at Gatcombe Park.
The former England rugby star, now 43, was spotted enjoying the festivities with his daughters Mia, 8, and Lena, 4, along with his one-year-old son, Lucas.
They were all there to soak up the atmosphere at the prestigious event held on the Princess Royal's estate.
The family was joined by Princess Anne, who looked relaxed in her casual attire.
The 71-year-old royal was seen engaging with her grandson, gesturing animatedly while he pointed in different directions.
It was a delightful family outing filled with laughter and chatter.
Just the day before, Mike and his enthusiastic kids had cheered on their mother, Zara Tindall, as she showcased her equestrian skills.
The 41-year-old British equestrian competed on horseback during the opening day of this annual event, drawing excitement from the crowd.
Little Lucas was dressed adorably in a bright blue top paired with navy shorts, exploring the grounds with his siblings.
Lena stood out in a vibrant pink t-shirt and red trainers, while Mia opted for a more laid-back look with a navy top and denim shorts, accessorized with a stylish cap and shades.
Dad Mike matched his son in navy shorts and completed his outfit with a trendy white t-shirt and fashionable trainers.
Princess Anne, embodying a relaxed vibe, sported cream trousers, a light blue shirt, and a red jacket.
To top off her outfit, she wore a white hat, blending comfort with style for the family day out.
This year marks the 28th edition of the Festival of British Eventing, which features a course designed by none other than Princess Anne herself.
The two-day event includes various disciplines such as dressage, show jumping, and cross-country phases, showcasing the best of equestrian talent.
Mia, who currently sits 22nd in the line of succession for the British throne, enjoyed a delightful ice cream on the sweltering summer day.
She was even spotted dancing around the grounds, reveling in the festive atmosphere.
Known for her playful spirit, Mia often runs around with her father and cousins at horse competitions, bringing joy to the event.
Lena, born in June 2018, has her own special connection to the royal family, with her cousin Prince Harry serving as her godfather.
The bond between the cousins is evident as they often play together during family gatherings.
When Lucas arrived in March 2021, it was a memorable moment for the Tindall family.
Mike shared that Lena, then just three years old, affectionately referred to her new brother as “my baby,” often trying to pick him up, much to the amusement of her parents.
Lucas Philip Tindall's dramatic entrance into the world was one for the books.
Born on the bathroom floor of their home in Gatcombe Park, Zara didn't make it to the hospital in time.
Mike recounted the chaotic yet humorous situation, where a friend recognized the urgency and quickly summoned their midwife.
