In a significant lifestyle shift, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are reportedly leaving behind the vibrant city life of London for the serene surroundings of Berkshire.

According to recent reports, William and Kate are preparing to move into a home on the Queen's Windsor estate this summer, marking a new chapter in their family life.

The Sunday Times has revealed that the couple plans to enroll their children—Prince George, aged eight, and Princess Charlotte, seven—into a new school in Berkshire come September.

This move will coincide with the end of the school year at their current prep school in Battersea.

Their youngest son, Prince Louis, who is just four, will also join them at the new school, creating a fresh start for the family.

As William approaches his 40th birthday this week, he has humorously expressed his apprehensions about this milestone.

The transition from Kensington Palace, which has served as their primary residence since 2017, to a more tranquil setting is certainly monumental.

Prior to Kensington, the family enjoyed the countryside charm of Anmer Hall in Norfolk, where they spent considerable time.

Despite this major relocation, it appears that the Cambridges will not completely sever ties with Kensington Palace.

They intend to keep their London residence, ensuring they have a base in the city.

Their press team will continue operations from West London, maintaining a connection to their past life.

Moreover, Anmer Hall will remain part of their lives, as reports indicate they will continue to visit it regularly.

A close friend of the couple shared that they envision a permanent move to Windsor once their children complete their schooling.

The friend described Windsor as their “happy place,” highlighting the family's fondness for the area.

This move to Windsor brings the Cambridges closer to the Middleton family, Kate's parents, who reside in Bucklebury, just a short drive away.

This proximity could provide additional support for the family as they navigate their new routines.

Interestingly, there has been speculation about the couple possibly moving into Windsor Castle in the future.

Since the passing of Prince Philip, the Queen has spent considerable time at the Berkshire castle, though it seems Prince Charles may prefer Buckingham Palace during his reign.
