Duke and Duchess of Cambridge Embrace a New Chapter at Adelaide Cottage

and have officially made the move to their new home, Adelaide Cottage, bringing along their three children—George, Charlotte, and Louis.

The family has opted for a more streamlined approach to their relocation, reportedly traveling light as they transition from Windsor to this charming four-bedroom cottage.

The decision to shift residences comes ahead of a significant milestone for the kids.

George, 9, Charlotte, 7, and Louis, 4, are set to start at Lambrook school next week, a private institution that costs around £7,000 per term.

This move aligns with Kate's desire to immerse herself in the school community, aiming to be an active presence at the school gates.

Accompanying the family is their beloved Black Cocker Spaniel, Orla.

Notably, the couple has chosen to forgo a live-in nanny, further emphasizing their commitment to a more hands-on parenting style.

Reports suggest that the couple has kept renovations minimal, opting for just a fresh coat of paint, a stark contrast to the extensive renovations undertaken by Harry and Meghan at Frogmore Cottage.

Ingrid Seward, editor-in-chief of Majesty Magazine, shared insight into this new chapter for the royal family.

She noted that this weekend marks their first family time at Adelaide Cottage, a moment they've eagerly anticipated.

The timing of the move was crucial, given the children's upcoming school start, and it seems this cozy abode offers a lovely setting for family life.

Royal experts highlight that this downsizing represents a significant shift in the family's lifestyle.

The renovations at Adelaide Cottage are described as “no frills,” which stands in sharp contrast to the lavish £2.4 million upgrades seen at Frogmore.

The simplicity of their new home reflects a desire for a more grounded existence.

The move is also believed to provide the family with greater privacy.

William and Kate have long sought a quieter life away from the public eye, and Adelaide Cottage's countryside location seems to fulfill that wish.

With its historic roots dating back to 1831, the cottage was originally built for Queen Adelaide as a summer retreat and has a rich history.

This new residence is not just about the house itself; it opens doors to expansive outdoor spaces.

The family now has easy access to a sprawling 655-acre home park, along with a network of gardens, farms, and scenic drives.

Additionally, they can enjoy the nearby trout stream and Frogmore House, all while being enveloped by nature.

Windsor Great Park, located just a stone's throw away, adds even more allure to their new life.

Spanning over 5,000 acres, it boasts picturesque walking paths leading up to Windsor Castle, lush Deer Parks, and enchanting woodland trails in the Valley Gardens.

It's a perfect playground for the young royals.

With this move, William and Kate have made the decision to have their full-time nanny, Maria Teresa Turrian Borallo, and other staff members live elsewhere for the first time.
